Tradesmen International, Inc. IT Analyst (Helpdesk) in MACEDONIA, Ohio
The role of the IT Analyst (Helpdesk) is to assist users who are experiencing any procedural or operating difficulty with the use of IT applications, products or services. Complex and/or high priority problems are often elevated to the network administrators, but the Helpdesk Technician is responsible to ensure that an effective solution is provided to the user. This position reports to the IT Service Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other responsibilities may be assigned) :
Provides support for all IT services. Support may include answering questions, troubleshooting problems, teaching and instructing users regarding software or hardware functionality, and communicating policy.
Determines the most effective manner to resolve user's technical issue. Engages in research and in-depth troubleshooting to resolve technical issues. Consults with network administrators when the person performing Helpdesk duties determines that it is necessary.
Researches potential solutions to issues. If the person performing Helpdesk duties determines that it is necessary, consults the Network Administrator or Manager.
Records required users and problem information in TI’s helpdesk system. Updates tickets with appropriate journal entries of activities, and closes tickets with resolution entered upon completion of the job.
Elevates intra-department, complex and/or high priority problems to the appropriate support groups for resolution.
Verifies that suggested solutions effectively resolve the users' problems through verbal or email follow up.
Works on helpdesk related projects as assigned by supervisor.
1-2 years of helpdesk experience OR CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent cert
Additional Professional certifications also beneficial (Net+, Cisco certs, etc.)
MS Operating Systems and MS Office experience
Basic networking principles and network troubleshooting support experience, including connectivity issues for wired and wireless networks
Experience using Active Directory and related user management functions
Call center experience is a plus
Hard working with the ability to work in a fast paced, multiple project environment, with strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills, professional, outgoing personality, flexibility and adaptability to change
High level of personal drive and initiative
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to anticipate needs and proactively utilize appropriate resources to resolve issues

Familiarity with a range of standard office machines
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Lifting and/or carrying of 15-30 lbs. or more and the pushing and pulling of carts when necessary
May be asked to climb a ladder or work in cramped spaces (i.e., under someone’s desk)
