Tradesmen International, Inc. Network Administrator in Macedonia, Ohio
The Network Administrator is a key player on our nimble Network Management Team, and plays a critical role in Tradesmen Internationals network infrastructure. In this role you will work cross-functionally with corporate and field offices to support, maintain, and optimize our network services, systems and devices companywide. Responsibilities: The Network Administratorsupports Tradesmen International’s network infrastructure though network diagnostics, system maintenance and project support. This role requires strong problems solving sills and attention to detail.
Provide Network Diagnosis and Resolution –Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of network issues and provides support for IT Help Desk staff. Manage incident and request ticket life cycle ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Maintain Network Systems –Configure new network and replacement network devices under the direction of senior team members. Verify and coordinate backup and recovery across central data centers. Learn and maintain familiarity with Enterprise LAN and WAN. Update and maintain network documentation.
Project Support - – Participate in IT related projectsIdentify opportunities to continuously enhance and evolve backend IT infrastructure and participates in informal and formal network learning opportunities.
Key Performance Objectives and Job Requirements:
BA/BS in an IT related field with 2 to 3 years of relevant hands-on experience or 4-5 years of relevant hands-on experienceare required in addition to the below responsibilities and requirements.
Proficiency in Windows Server 2012-2019 platform and its components including Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Security/Permissions, and other related technologies.
Network switch experience including Layer 3 switching and VLANs
Proficiency in IP networking, including hardware, software, services, and protocols.
Certifications a plus (MCSE/MCSA, VCP-DCV, Server+, Network+, CCNA or equivalent) or pursuing professional certifications preferred.
Preferred knowledge with; Microsoft SCCM & Windows Deployment Server, VMWare and Virtual Servers preferred, administration skills in Linux preferred, Some programming and scripting background, operational knowledge of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop administration and configuration.
